When channeling the Echo, they flash with Hellfire Green or deepen into abyssal black.

Abstract
- Humanity: "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. There is always another way."
- The Echo: "They're all weak. A quick bite is all it would take. Solve the problem. You know you want to."
Childhood Demeanor: The Echo's Influence
Sakura's precociousness is not in her intelligence, though she is bright, but in her unnerving grasp of finality. This is the direct influence of her Akuryo Echo. The Echo, being a scar of Jigoku, does not comprehend morality, only outcomes. It instills in Sakura an alien curiosity about the processes of life, and more specifically, its cessation.
Where another child might cry over a dead bird, Sakura is fascinated. She will observe it with a detached, clinical interest, noting the vacant stillness in its eyes and the way insects have already begun their work. Her questions are not "Why did it die?" but rather, "What happens to its Chi when it stops moving?" or "If it was killed, did the killer absorb its strength?"
This extends to the complex world of the kikon-jin. She listens to hushed, adult conversations about political assassinations and clan disputes not with fear, but with rapt attention, absorbing the brutal calculus of power as a natural extension of the predator-prey relationship. Her demeanor can easily be mistaken for sociopathy, as she struggles to perform the "correct" emotional responses. Empathy is a foreign language she must learn to mimic, while the cold, efficient logic of the Echo is her native tongue. It whispers to her that everything is a resource, and that understanding how things break is the first and most important step to ensuring you are the one who never breaks.

📖 History & Meta
Biography
Born Konae Mizuki to two powerful kikon-jin, Sakura's early life was shattered by the conflict that led to her mother's death and her father's forced stasis (Karishi). She was raised in a secluded temple by her aunt, Hikaru, trained rigorously for the dangers of her heritage. Escalating threats forced their relocation to Los Angeles, where she now uses the identity Sayou Sakura and must adapt to an American high school while fighting a constant internal battle against the Flaying Voice living in her head.
Her journey is about the search for identity, the struggle between light and dark within a single soul, and the challenge of finding belonging between two worlds that both claim and reject her.
