Biography

Konae Kinuyo was an ancient and revered healer within the Kage no Tsuru, operating primarily out of Little Tokyo. She established the Niijima Bloodline as her mortal vassals, utilizing their natural mediumship to bridge the gap between human medicine and spiritual healing.

Her life took a dramatic and unprecedented turn when she and Sayou Shoji, a fellow Kikon-jin, conceived a child. The paradoxical union of two demonic entities attempting to create life triggered a direct intervention from the Celestial Court, resulting in the birth of a Hantsuki, Sayou Sakura. The pregnancy and subsequent birth took a massive toll on Kinuyo's physical and spiritual stability. She tragically passed away shortly after, leaving her legacy in the hands of the Niijima clan and her daughter in the protective custody of Shoji and Utagawa Hikaru.
